For two decades, Closing the Gap (CTG) has worked to close the academic achievement gap and empower students across the Capital Region. This year marks an important milestone as Closing the Gap celebrates its 20th Anniversary and reflects on the students, families, educators, partners, and community members who have helped make its work possible.
The community is invited to join Closing the Gap on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 PM at 2450 Venture Oaks Way, Suite 400, Sacramento, CA 95833 for a special evening of celebration, connection, and fundraising.
The 20th Anniversary celebration will commemorate the impact of the past two decades while looking ahead to the next chapter of Closing the Gap’s work. For 20 years, the organization has remained committed to creating opportunities for students, supporting educational achievement, and helping build stronger communities throughout the Capital Region.
As part of the anniversary celebration, Closing the Gap will also highlight its SEED campaign: Sustainability, Education, Empowerment, Development. The campaign represents an investment in the future and in programs that help create lasting opportunities for students and communities.
By supporting the SEED campaign, community members are helping plant the seeds for programs and initiatives designed to make a meaningful and lasting difference for generations to come.
Guests are welcome to attend the celebration, and appetizers, beverages, and dessert will be served.
