Become a Funded Program for School Year 2026-2027

Each year, the Closing the Gap selects, supports, and funds local programs that provide college-readiness services to underserved students in Sacramento-area public schools.

We prioritize collaborative programs that help build strong college-going cultures while delivering essential academic support, including tutoring, counseling, and SAT preparation. Funding is directed to communities where the need is greatest and where programs can make the most meaningful impact by working together in the best interests of students.

Closing the Gap invests in innovative programs that prepare students in grades 8–12 for college, careers, and lifelong success.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2026–2027 school year. Please review the eligibility criteria and application requirements below before submitting a proposal.
